3.3.1 Kofax 9/10.1 Minimum Required Software
3.3.2 Kofax 9/10.1 Recommended Hardware Requirements
Below is the recommended configuration for your desktop PC that will be used as a scanning workstation. You should try to get as new and as powerful a model as possible. Remember that the more powerful machine you get the easier it will be to handle software upgrades etc.
Any of the following Operating Systems will work with Kofax 9 / 10.1:
Windows XP Professional w/ SP3
Windows XP Professional x32 w/ SP3
Windows Vista Business/Enterprise Edition (32-bit/64-bit) w/ SP2
Windows 7 Enterprise/Professional/Ultimate Edition (32-bit/64-bit)
Windows 8 Enterprise/Professional Edition (32-bit/64-bit)
Windows 8.1 Enterprise/Professional Edition (32-bit/64-bit) VRS scanning not supported
Windows Server 2003 Standard/Enterprise/Datacenter Edition (32-bit/64-bit) w/ SP2
Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard/Enterprise/Datacenter Edition (32-bit/64-bit) w/ SP2
Windows Small Business Server 2003 Standard/Premium Edition
Windows Server 2008 Standard/Enterprise/Datacenter Edition (32-bit/64-bit) w/ SP2
Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard/Enterprise/Datacenter (64-Bit) including all service packs

Note: Kofax 9.0 is not officially supported for Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. Some agencies are running Kofax 9.0 on Windows 8 at their assumed risk.
Browser: Internet Explorer 6 or later
Microsoft .Net: Version 3.5 is required by Kofax 9 and will be installed during the installation of Kofax 9.
The following lists the minimum hardware requirements for the Kofax Capture client systems:
Processor: Pentium 4 processor, or equivalent, or higher
System memory: 1 GB or higher.
Disk space: 1.3GB on any local drive, plus 300 Mbytes available on your local C: drive or wherever your operating system is installed, for installation files, temporary files, and working space during processing
Display: 1024 x 768 with 16 bit color, small fonts; 24 bit color is recommended for the best viewing of online Help.
Printer: 600 DPI to support the Separator Sheet Utility
NIC: 100 Mbps
